What is psychotherapy?

Individual psychotherapy is a process that can be short-term, long-term, or goal-oriented (i.e., problem-focused).

Psychotherapy (i.e., "talk therapy") is a powerful process between a client and a therapist that increases self-awareness, focuses on problem-solving, and can explore patterns of past and present conflicts depending on the client's needs.

Issues can include loneliness, depression, anxiety, grief and bereavement, addictions and stress, marital problems, relationships conflicts and sexual orientation concerns.

Will therapy help me?

A confidential and safe setting is provided to you to encourage your growth. As a result of extensive training and nearly 30 years of experience as a therapist, I have found that most clients feel some relief almost immediately as they begin the journey of becoming more aware of themselves. We will work together to evaluate how therapy can help you, and periodically assess our success together.
